“Shelley is an absolute joy to work with. She is truly professional, genuinely talented, and incredibly kind. During the photoshoot, Shelley kept me comfortable and at ease, and I could tell she was trying to capture my personality in each photo. The results are stunning and far more artistic than most portrait work I've seen.”

Seniors & Teens

Is your little one all grown up and headed off to college or the workforce? Capture their potential at this important moment in time with our natural, elevated portraits.

Families

These aren’t the old-fashioned Olan-Mills portraits you remember from the 80s and 90s. Our portraits capture your family’s true essence so you leave with photos that feel like you.

Children

With unwavering energy, it can be difficult to get great pictures of your kids. But I’ve got years of experience doing just that, starting ages ago with my own son, Ethan.

UNDERSTANDING MY STYLE

Portraits Influenced by Fine Art

Rembrandt, one of the greatest portrait artists of all time, was known for his striking compositions and emotive use of light and shade. As a portrait photographer, I incorporate this time-tested approach to painting with light.

My photography is meant to see people — to identify what makes them tick and capture that essence within an image.

“Shelley is amazingly talented at making people look good! She took terrific photos, even with a slightly uncooperative 9-year-old boy. Shelley is fun and charming and has a great eye for portraits. Every picture from the shoot is super flattering and beautiful.  We all really enjoyed the outdoor photo shoot and treasure these pictures!  I will absolutely be hiring Shelley to take our family pictures every year!”

  • We only edit the photos that we think are going to meet your goals and show our highest-quality work. The amount of photos created depends on the session you choose.

  • Most of my shoots last about one to two hours, but that can go up or down depending on the kind of shoot we’re doing as well as the location.

  • I offer a range of highly-curated, premium-quality albums, cards, and wall art that you can touch, feel, and look at during our reveal appointment. I’ll make recommendations based on my experience and what I know about you. But ultimately, you’ll get to decide what you leave with.

  • It really depends on what you select, but most orders are ready for shipping or pickup within 3 weeks of your reveal appointment.

  • This largely depends on the location of your shoot. If you are looking for an in-studio experience, we will likely need to limit participants to 3-4. However, if you opt for another location, we may be able to accommodate more. I do only shoot immediate family. We can discuss this in your strategy session.
